Re Club Nights and Snooker and Squash Courts Lights Cost Increase

Dear [[firstname]]

As popularity for thes club night sessions grows, it is worth highlighting the current timings so that sufficient courts are allocated and everyone has a good number of games.

  • Squash (singles) - Mondays start 5.00 with 7.40pm finish - ideal start time especially for younger players
  • Racketball (singles and doubles) - Wednesdays start 4.00 with at least a 7.00pm finish - playing ''sides'' version or (for the more agile) ''alternate shots''

At only £2.00 for an evening of sport, both of these represent super value for money and a real opportunity for junior and intermediate players to play against a range of opponents, as well as for newer club members. Free racket loan available

Gift Aid - you will see posters around the club asking you to sign a form which will help the club to claim Gift Aid based on your subscription paid while the club was forced to close during the Covid pandemic. This is a government approved scheme that allows clubs to treat such subscriptions as donations, therefore the tax element can be claimed back. If successful, this will provide the club with valuable funds which can be re-invested in future (at no cost to our members)

Light cost increase reminder £4 from today (40 mins/squash or 60 mins/snooker)

Open Squash Doubles Saturday 16th March - we are anticipating a strong entry field across three grade levels. £40 per pair to include tournament T-shirt and cash prizes. A good number of entries already in!

Committee Resignation - the club would like to thank Peter G Berry for all of his positive contributions he has made over the years to the club in his various roles whilst being a Committee Member

PS Many thanks to all those who completed the Customer Survey recently. Please remember that the club is keen to hear your views on what is offered, so always use other channels of communication like Facebook, Email etc.

Best regards
