Re England Regional Squash Masters Tournament Friday 8th December

Dear [[firstname]]

After last weekend's hugely successful UK Racketball Series Finals and National Doubles Championships with over 60 players from around the UK, the club will very soon host another major event (see below). The club is truly proud of our 16-year old, Louie Truman's achievement winning the Men's Doubles with Ryan Bond and of Helen Rees (both pictured below) who took part for the first time - and won the ladies' competition! She has contributed a lot to the club over the past year with her squash and racketball coaching. Well done to you.

Back to this weekend, the Masters squash tournament will effectively take over the club with around 170 competitiors and organisers. Please note that all squash courts are unavailable from Friday morning until late on Sunday afternoon. Furthermore the snooker room, function rooms and changing rooms will also be out of use for members. We apologise for this and thank you for your understanding. However, the revenue earned from this tournament is invaluable to the club and helps to keep the membership fees as low as they are. On the other hand, the gym remains open to members with the usual opening times. You will notice that our team of volunteers from the committee have just given two days of their time to give the gym and fitness areas a fresh coat of paint. Their generosity is very much valued and appreciated. Could we ask wherever possible that gym-goers assist by parking on neighbouring roads as space will be at a premium. Alternately, please help by travelling on foot or by bike. Thank you for your cooperation and we hope as many members as possible take the opportunity to watch some of the games which will be of a very high standard. Good luck to the half dozen members who have entered this year!

Best regards
