Re Squash Club Nights - change of format

Dear [[firstname]]

Next week will see the reintroduction of the ‘Board’ for Monday’s Club Night… As participation has increased with the winter season, along with our steady increasing membership, it’s felt that it would be beneficial to our members to be able to enjoy the full ethos and sprit of club night for singles squash along with all the other activities our club has to offer.

The primary purpose of club night is to enable members to have the opportunity to play other members in a friendly game… Even for those of us that are ueber competitive… It is also an opportunity for those new to squash or who would like to get a feel for the club. Club night works best for all by having some structure.

The prime time will be from 17:00 to 19:00 and will run for twenty minute sessions. We have 3 courts available for club night. Courts 1 and 2 from 17:00 and Court 3 from 18:00. If we get busier in the early stage of the evening, then we can adjust this.

On the night…

1. It will be run from outside court 4.

2. When you arrive, you will pay the grand sum of £1.50 to the coordinator and your name will be put on the board in the order of your arrival. You will be allocated a number by position from 1.

3. The first four will be entered in the first session and the next in line will be entered in the next session. If there is a court space still available, those coming off court will be entered into that session, with the aim of ensuring as best we can of playing different people.

4. The lights will be on override for the duration of club night and the session will be run by timer from the board (20 minutes) at the end of the session. You will be knocked off court by the next players. In the interest of time and fairness please stop even if in mid-rally to enable the next session to start promptly.

We look forward to seeing you and welcome your continued support.

Best regards

Clifford
